Kuna Real Estate > Kuna Community Info The blossoming of Kuna as an agricultural area began when Indian Creek was created to bring water to the area's crops. The railroad passed through Boise and ended at Kuna, bringing settlers and farmers. The Western Heritage Historic Byway was organized by Kuna residents in 2000 to preserve the history of Treasure Valley. Some of the areas they are working to protect include the Silver Trail, which was the original stagecoach route through Boise, through the Idaho City mining district and to the mining district of Silver City in the Owyhee Mountains. Kuna is also home to various historical points, including Initial Point, which was the spot used for a reference point when all of Idaho was surveyed, Dedication Point, where the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area was dedicated and where beautiful canyon vistas astonish the eye, the Kuna Caves, created by volcanic eruptions, Swan Falls Dam, constructed by miners at Silver City for hydroelectric power, and the Pioneer Cemetery.
